Next Generation of Emergency Medical Tools and Technology on Display at ACEP19

Denver, Colo.—A preview of cutting-edge emergency department products and technologies will be featured at innovatED, an interactive solutions showcase during ACEP19, the world’s largest emergency medicine conference, which takes place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO October 27-29, 2019.

Hands-on demonstrations in a simulated emergency department in the Exhibit Hall will give participants a chance to see the practical application of innovations designed to address the most pressing challenges in emergency departments today. The immersive innovatED experience will include solutions that span telemedicine, software solutions and data integration, ultrasound, cardiovascular, stroke, emergency medical/pre-hospital services, and more.

Highlights of 2019 innovatED will include: 

  • Virtual reality as applied to clinical training.
  • Live demonstrations from leading institutions on how to de-escalate workplace violence situations in the emergency department (October 27: 10:00-10:25 am; and 2:40-3:05 pm)
  • Shark Tank-style pitches from start-up companies as they propose cutting-edge ideas to a panel of healthcare and technology professionals. (October 28: 11:45 am-12:30 pm; and October 29: 11:45 am-12:30 pm)
  • A dedicated space focused on how to set up a geriatric emergency department and details on ACEP’s new Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation program.
