Top Emergency Medicine Researchers Convene at ACEP25 Research Forum

WASHINGTON, DC—The world’s leading emergency medicine researchers, academics, and practitioners will be discussing the future of emergency medicine and unveiling new data at the Research Forum during ACEP25, September 7-10. Media can click here to register and attend for free.

“The ACEP Research Forum continues to set the standard for excellence in emergency medicine research,” said Margaret Greenwood-Ericksen, MD, MSc, 2025 Research Forum chair, and associate professor of emergency medicine at the University of New Mexico. “We are inspired by the groundbreaking work presented here—work that drives innovation, advances patient care, and redefines what is possible in emergency medicine.”

This year, the Research Forum will feature more than 620 abstracts, posters, and international projects. The abstracts will be featured in a special supplement to Annals of Emergency Medicine.

Plenary session abstracts presented will cover topics including triage processes in the ED, mobile cardiac therapies, quality improvement through reduced use of radiographs, wearable biosensors, AI models for ultrasound assessment, and more.

During the conference, ACEP will recognize award winners for Best Medical Student Abstract, Best Resident Abstract, Best Early Career Abstract, and Best Overall Abstract.

The Research Forum keynote lecture this year provides an overview of innovations in ED treatment of opioid use disorder.
