Peer-reviewed Emergency Medicine Journals

Through its peer-reviewed publications—Annals of Emergency Medicine and the Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians (JACEP) Open—the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) is pushing the boundaries of emergency medical research and discovery.

Annals of Emergency Medicine is the largest and most frequently cited circulation peer-reviewed journal in emergency medicine and publishes original research, clinical reports, opinion, and educational information related to the practice, teaching, and research of emergency medicine.

Annals regularly publishes articles related to out-of-hospital emergency medical services, pediatric emergency medicine, injury and disease prevention, health policy and ethics, disaster management, toxicology, and other topics.

The Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians (JACEP) Open is expected to launch online winter 2020 and is currently seeking editorial board members.

JACEP Open is the first international, peer-reviewed, entirely open access journal from ACEP. The mission of JACEP Open is to advance emergency medicine through open access research, opinion and educational information around the world. JACEP Open will publish online only with unrestricted access to articles as they become available. The journal welcomes submissions from international contributors and researchers of all specialties.
